Sixth Form
At Key Stage 5, students have access to a 3-year programme in our sixth form. The students have access to two separate buildings depending on which pathway they are following. Pathway 1 students are based in St. Anthony’s House and Pathway 2 and 3 students are based in The Victor Braun centre. Although use is not exclusive, this is predominantly where their lessons will take place.
The Victor Braun Centre
The centre contains general classrooms as well as specialist rooms for Art, Textiles, Team Enterprise, Computing, Cooking, Personal Care and a Drama and Dance studio. The common room provides an area for students to prepare their breakfast, socialise with their peers and also acts as their lunch cafeteria. Although not within the Victor Braun Centre, Sixth Form students access the Construction Workshop.
St. Anthony’s House
St. Anthony’s houses a life skills centre for students accessing Curriculum Pathway 1, enabling learning to take place in a real life environment. It contains a fully functioning kitchen, a living room and bedroom with en-suite bathroom. This provides students with opportunities to develop and practise the necessary skills they will need to live as independently as possible. Students on this Pathway have complex learning needs and can often find working in group settings challenging. St. Anthony’s has a number of individual learning spaces where students can work in an environment personalised to their learning.
